SARJ GETS THE NOD

PAUL Starke is out of Tuesday’s British semi-final at Leicester.

Starke crashed at Berwick on Saturday and is battered and bruised and has been advised to rest.

His place will be taken by Leicester’s home favourite James Sarjeant who joins the 16 man field looking for one of eight qualifying places for next month’s British Final at Belle Vue.

Watling JCB Lions co-boss Damien Bates said: “We wish Paul all the very best for a speedy recovery.
a
“Tom Perry of Belle Vue Colts was next in line but he as work commitments and therefore cannot take his place which is good news for James.”

Danny King, another Leicester favourite, is set to race subject to a late fitness check.
